Mission Statement:

To promote and preserve our history, both locally and nationally, by teaching future generations its importance via hands on learning, demonstrations and exhibits. To fill a need for education at the most basic level of understanding in nature, agriculture, history, industry, trade skills, and animal husbandry. To teach the struggles and achievements of our nation and local governments, while maintaining an accurate portrayal of life from a time span of 1700-1940.

For many years now we have had a vision of a historical village & museum where families from all over Michigan and right here in Kalamazoo County can step back in time and remember our history. With an emphasis on historical preservation and education, this village will be an everlasting tribute to our past and will provide years of educational value to our youth.

The exhibits will contain sites and projects such as:

Many of these items have already been donated. This museum will be open 7 days a week, with a mix of paid staff and volunteers.

Fisher's Village Museum is a corporation under Michigan Law and is currently pending with its 501(c)3 non-profit status.
